Helen Cheng B.Mus, M.Ed, ARCT
Helen started her musical training at the age of 5, and later went to the prestigious Stella Matutina Girls’ High School and enrolled in a class for musically talented students. Before graduation, She was recommended for admission to the National Institute of the Arts of Taiwan. After a year of study at the National Institute, Helen was relocated to Vancouver, Canada with the family in 1993, and admitted to the School of Music at the University of British Columbia, where she obtained her bachelor of Music performance, and Master of Music Education degrees. She has also obtained her ARCT diploma by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano performance.
Helen started teaching piano and flute in 1994, and have more than 25 years of experience in private, group and school teaching (Art director at Beanstalk International School and Music teacher and choir conductor at British School of Guangzhou), and is a certified teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music and a member of British Columbia Registered Teachers' Association and Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Associations.
